Summer/Fall Update 2024

What an incredible summer it has been. I'm sure several of you have received update letters from Youth with a Mission Ozarks about the success of the Mission Adventure programs, but if you haven't, allow me to summarize:

This season we’ve had nearly 150 people pass through our campus, cooked and prepared over 60 meals, and touched countless lives through local outreach, worship services, and solid biblical teaching. We saw God move in amazing ways, as He supplied us unbridled energy for the duration of June/July and provided  amazing volunteers from around the states. We were blessed, the kids were blessed, and the kingdom flourished.

Now we have begun our next YWAM Ozarks adventure as we round week 2 of our 2024 Discipleship Training School. This year we have 11 students from different states and, some, even from  different countries including Germany and Albania. They are a lively bunch with bright personalities and a strong willingness to learn. Just last week, they were given their outreach destination.. I could hear the excitement through two rooms. After their lecture phase, they will be headed to the Dominican Republic an New Orleans to serve and share the living word and spread the gospel message.

As for the kitchen, we are serving nearly 40 people, near the number we had weekly for our summer camps. Safe to say, it’s going to be a busy fall/winter, but we’re ready for it!

Angelina, Milo, and Heidi are doing well. Milo is busy learning how to read, whilst Heidi is busy tormenting her brother. Japan continues to chug forward as we continue to raise money and nail down important details for the 3 months we’ll reside there. The bus continues to be an ongoing project as budget constraints on our family tighten towards the end of the year, but we are hopeful  the Lord will continue to pour into our future as we move forward with it piece by piece.

If I’m being honest, the future after Japan seems uncertain, we have many great ideas for our projected ministry, however, as God tends to do, we have several other opportunities lined up as well. Currently, we are praying into each one very carefully. Staying on God’s correct course is our number one goal because we know that to further the kingdom’s goals we have to be aligned with His perfect will.
